The Edison Exploratorium is a 501(c).3 corporation. The living Founders of the Exploratorium are some of the 21st Century successors to the early Pioneers of the Technological Revolution. It is expected that large numbers of engineers and scientists will become members, mentors, and Exploratorium lecturers.
The Exploratorium is expected to generate substantial net operating income which will insure the growth and continuance of the organization and facilities. In addition to the policy making body, the Exploratorium will employ a highly skilled director who is recognized by the engineering and scientific community and will be paid accordingly. Nine additional staff will be hired in the first year to insure that the Exploratorium has the early on capacity to become the facility envisioned.
